5. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer in any way and do not contain viruses. The use of cookies makes it possible to store data temporarily and enables us to make our services more effective, secure and user-friendly. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

The cookies most commonly used by us are “session cookies”, which have a limited lifetime. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you erase them. These cookies enable us to recognise you again on your next visit and thus provide you with a better visitor experience.

You can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are set. You can also permit cookies only in specific cases, or block them entirely. You can also configure your browser so that cookies are deleted automatically when you close the browser window. Deactivating cookies may restrict the functionality of this website.

6. Server Log Files

The hosting provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser sends automatically.

This information includes, in particular:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This data cannot be attributed to specific persons and is not collated with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently inspect this data if we have specific grounds to suspect unlawful use.

This data is primarily collected in order to evaluate and prevent attempted attacks on the website. Furthermore, in certain situations, hosting providers are obligated to provide information on where attacks have come from in order to fight criminal activity.

7. Contact form

When you fill in a form such as the contact or training form on our website, all your details are sent to us via email and are also saved in the database in order to secure them against loss and ensure greater traceability. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.

8. Newsletter data

We offer a newsletter for our customers. If you would like to receive this newsletter, you will need to provide us with a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address, along with your consent to receive the newsletter.

Once you have provided us with your email address, we will occasionally send you updates about our company and services, as well as product information.

We use the Mailchimp software to send newsletters and to analyse the read and click-through rates of newsletters and application emails (e.g. confirmation of registration). Mailchimp is a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE Suite 5000 Atlanta, GA 30308 USA.

The data (email address, name if applicable, IP address, date and time of registration) is stored on this provider’s servers. However, this provider may not use personal data for any purpose other than sending emails on our behalf.

You can find further information about Mailchimp’s privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

9. SSL encryption

We use SSL encryption technology to protect confidential data when it is sent via our forms, as well as for security reasons. You can identify an encrypted connection via the “https://” in the address line, and the padlock symbol displayed in the browser.

Data encrypted with SSL cannot be read by third parties when it is transferred.

10. Email

We would like to point out that transferring data via email is not secure (except for email traffic via encrypted email). Unencrypted transmissions may lack confidentiality, can have their contents and sender manipulated, and may contain misdirected links or viruses. We accept no responsibility for any damage.

Confidential information should not be sent via email without encryption. When replying to emails, the received text should not be included and the email address should be reentered every time.

11. Google Maps

We use the map service “Google Maps” offered by the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. As a result, data is exchanged in the background for tracking purposes. If you do not want your data to be disclosed, please log out of your Google account.

Here you can find Google’s privacy policy.

12. Integration of third-party services and content

We reserve the right to integrate third-party content on our website, such as YouTube videos, map data from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or images from other websites. Furthermore, plugins and share buttons for social networks (referred to as “social plugins” below), such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Xing, are integrated into our website. These social plugins can be identified via their respective logos.

When you visit our website, the social plugin establishes a direct link between your browser and the server of the respective social network. The social plugins enable you to recommend selected content from our website via a particular network to other users of that network and add it to your personal profile.

In doing so, the social networks are informed that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on one of the social plugins while you are logged in to one of the social networks, you can also share content from our website on your personal profile. In this case, the social network can link your visit to our website with your personal profile. Please note that we do not receive any information on the content of the transmitted data or its use by the social networks.

For further information on how the social networks collect, process and use your data, please see their respective privacy policies:

13. Right to access, erasure, blocking

You have the right to access your stored personal data at any time, free of charge. In particular, you have the right to request information about the origin and recipients of data and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data.

14. Objection to unwanted marketing emails or post

We hereby object to the use of the contact details published in connection with our obligation to provide publication details for the purpose of sending marketing and information material that was not explicitly requested.
