HKScan Bacon Plant – Go-Live April 2023

 

Softproviding is delighted to announce the successful launch of SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg at the HKScan bacon production plant in Swinoujscie, Poland. The implementation project, initiated in March 2022 together with msg global solutions, underwent thorough design, implementation, and testing phases before finally going live on April 2, 2023. Implemented processes included Reception with Quality Management, Disassembly, Further Processing, Packing and Labeling as well as Inventory Management ensuring seamless operations and enhanced efficiency.

 

HKScan was founded in 1913 by a number of farmers who joined forces and opened a co-operative slaughterhouse in the South-Western Finland that successfully dealt in domestic meat wholesales. Over the years, the cooperative expanded its operations and later ventured into the international market, acquiring meat production companies in Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

 

As a publicly listed company, HKScan boasts a workforce of 5,400 individuals solely within its Scandinavian home markets. In 2022, the company’s net sales from continuing operations reached a total of over EUR 1.8 billion, exemplifying their sustained success and industry prominence.
