Bell Food Group new with SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg for S4/HANA
In November 2019, Bell Food Group announced the re-licensing of SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg for S4/HANA. The industry solution for the food industry from Softproviding AG in Basel will be migrated to the new platform using a brownfield-oriented approach. Go-live is scheduled for October 2020.

Ricola goes live with Classified Procurement by Softproviding AG
In October, Ricola deployed the classified procurement solution with the two components Softproviding Core Framework and Softproviding Classified Procurement. The particularities of the industry require that the herbs are only valuated (classified) after delivery. In contrast to SAP standard purchasing, pricing in purchasing and invoicing to suppliers only take place after further processing.
Ricola is a Swiss family business founded in 1930 and is regarded as a pioneer in natural herb cultivation. Ricola annually processes 1400 tons of fresh herbs from Swiss mountain farmers and exports its herbal specialties, including the famous Ricola sweets, to more than 50 countries worldwide.
Maple Leaf Foods opts for SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg
At the beginning of December 2019, Maple Leaf Foods (MLF) from Canada decided to implement the entire poultry production planning on S/4HANA with SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg. This decision had been preceded by extensive and in-depth discussions with MLF’s department and IT representatives. Two on-site visits also took place in Toronto, where the solution was presented in detail. At MLF, Softproviding’s Disassembly Planning is integrated with IBP (Integrated Business Planning) and PPDS (PP Detailed Scheduling) from SAP for the first time.
The decision in favor of the planning solution also resulted in the acquisition of the entire solution portfolio for S/4 from Softproviding. In addition to the initial implementation of Disassembly Planning, a migration project in the area of livestock procurement is also scheduled, as MLF has been successfully using this solution since 2011.
