SAP Dairy Management by msg – Release 2026

The new release SAP Dairy Management 2026 by msg for SAP S/4HANA, which is based on SAP Release 2025, has been enhanced with a number of additional functions and tools. For customers interested in more detailed information, we recommend the current release documentation.

 

 

Aging and Affinage

Several improvements help you manage aging processes more precisely:

  • “Valid From” management extended: You can now set Valid From dates in the past for Aging Information and Aging Processes.
  • Enhanced Aging Run: New parameters include Batch selection and Manual Posting Date for better control.
  • Temperature and Humidity: You can now maintain temperature and humidity ranges as informational parameters in Manage Aging Information. (Note: These values are for documentation only and not used in system calculations.)

 

Raw Material Planning

Raw material logistics and planning continue to be simplified:

  • Deactivation of “Excess/Shortage” rows by default has been added in key planning apps to reduce clutter and improve usability.
  • New navigation options have been implemented, allowing direct access to the Manage Material Coverage or Alternative Details applications from planning views.
  • Standard SAP distribution keys are now supported in Plan Balance – Raw Material.
  • Navigation to plan orders and process orders are now available directly from the planning interface.

 

Costing, ABC, and Financials

New capabilities that increase costing accuracy and flexibility have been added:

  • Fixed cost rate calculations enhanced: Processes can derive cost rates from master recipes, allowing a single process to support different product cost scenarios.
  • New “Valuation Date” field in Manage Activity-Based Costing Runs has been introduced to control how cost rates are multiplied and valued across periods.
  • GL Account visibility has been added across analysis and allocation reports.
  • Resource, Product Hierarchy, and Profit Center have been added to several allocation control apps for deeper cost analysis.

 

Manufacturing and Process Management

Important improvements have been made across core manufacturing apps:

  • Execute “Post Manufacturing Costs – Actuals” for multiple plants in one step is now available.
  • Process frequency automation in ABC Plan using Number of Days and Number of Batches, plus a new option to choose frequency per day/batch or per period is now possible.
  • Cancellation of component material documents directly from Postprocess Documents is allowed.
  • New filter “Resource Cost Center” has been added to Manage Processes for quicker process selection.

 

Reporting and Analysis Enhancements

We have improved transparency and flexibility by updating the following functionalities:

  • Analysis reports now display:
    • GL Account (replaces Cost Element)
    • Product Hierarchy
    • Resource
    • Transfer Activity Type
  • Allocation control apps now include additional filters and fields supporting deeper drilldowns.

 

Sales, Purchasing and Stock‑Related Enhancements

New options streamline purchasing and sales execution:

  • Create Sales Orders directly from simulated sales quantities.
  • Determine closing stock automatically when no manual entry exists, with full flexibility to delete or adjust manual entries.
  • New checkbox “Update Batch Class” has been added in Update Stocks to synchronize batch characteristics.
  • Purchase Agreement consideration is now available in several purchasing and planning apps.
  • New checkbox “Create Stock Transfer” has been included, enabling component handling in stock transfers.
  • Purchase Orders for Home Plant can now be created directly from Plan Raw Material Deliveries.
