SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg – Release 6.1
The new release SAP Meat and Fish Management 6.1 from msg for SAP S/4HANA, which is based on SAP Release 2023, has been enhanced with a number of additional functions and tools. For customers interested in more detailed information, we recommend the current release documentation.
Innovations and optimizations in Disassembly
Disassembly now has a Fiori dashboard that allows you to monitor the numerous orders, their statuses and any problems and intervene directly, if necessary:
- Number of disassembly orders: Shows all disassembly orders. Clicking on the order number takes you to the order.
- Target comparison between actual goods receipt and actual goods issue: Calculates the difference between the target goods receipt and the target goods issue. The smaller the difference, the more precisely the disassembly process was executed.
- List of all disassembly orders: Displays all disassembly orders according to the selected selection criteria.
PPDS integration
Seamless integration allows customers to coordinate material availability, capacities and orders. For example, it is possible to plan when a particular cut can be picked based on the time of slaughtering.
Header material dependent on cut list and disassembly process
When using the material ledger, the header materials can now also be precisely assigned to the disassembly order according to various criteria:
- To combine the cut list and disassembly processes
- To the cut list
- To the plant
Cycle-Based Production (Livestock Operations)
A Fiori dashboard has also been integrated for the area of Breeding, which provides an overview of numerous parameters:
- Active cycles
- Consumption rate
- Growth curve
- Mortality
- Reproduction
- Incorrect movements
- Production cycle list
- Incorrect cycle movements
Process Data Acquisition
Process Data Acquisition has been improved through several optimizations:
- It is now possible to take in account operations within the scope of several partial confirmations only once.
- Consideration of the production date in addition to the posting date for period batches.
- Inclusion of the HU number as a standard field for label printing.
Data Processing System
There were also a number of innovations in this area:
- Automatic creation of dependent production orders for raw materials.
- Mass change of incorrect PDA operations.
- Calling the process areas and processes of the DPS Runtime without having to start the DPS Runtime including the complete menu tree.
- Changing the disassembly order in MRP Calculation: It is now possible to update existing orders with new planned quantities from an updated planning.
- Support for CDS views as a data source.
- Trading process for mapping processes in the area of animal marketing and trading based on SAP GTM.
Shopfloor
In the Shopfloor area, the focus this time was on user-friendliness:
- Materials can now be set so that they can be displayed but not recorded or hidden.
- When entering a quality notification, it is now possible to access the catalog profile stored in the material master (Quality Management view) and select the correct catalog including the appropriate codes.
- A streamlined classification application allows objects such as materials to be classified quickly and easily.
- A new Shopfloor application allows users to evaluate the characteristics of batches used for material movements.
- Handling units: A new transfer posting application allows stock transfers to be carried out in two steps. In addition, relevant HU information on goods issues can be easily read and transferred.
- Unplanned materials can now be added to the production order as components.
Further innovations
- To evaluate planned, forecast and actual data, a Total Production evaluation was implemented that makes it possible to calculate medium to long-term forecasts for biological outputs (e.g. finishing pigs) on the basis of master data and to present them in an evaluation.
- Previously, customer-specific BAdI implementations and IDoc segments had to be created in order to make mass changes to Meat and Fish Management fields with transaction MM17. In the new release, standard objects are delivered for this purpose.
