SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg for SAP S/4HANA – On-Premise

With the on-premise solution, the customer uses their own servers to host the application. Licensing is based on the traditional licensing model (purchase of the software plus annual maintenance fee). The customer handles maintenance and administration and decides which updates and support packages are needed. At any time, customers can carry out their own developments in order to map customer-specific processes, if necessary.

 

SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg for SAP S/4HANA Cloud – Extended Edition

Cloud Extended Edition (formerly called Single-Tenant Edition) is offered on a dedicated cloud landscape. This is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering. Extensibility is given by ABAP enhancements; modifications are not allowed and restrictions are given in the Implementation Management Guide (IMG). However, “in-app” and “side-by-side” extensions are possible, which can be implemented using the SAP cloud platform and connected via standardized APIs. Software upgrades must be carried out every 2 years at the latest.

 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Meat and Fish Management by msg – Private Edition (PCE)

The SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition(PCE) is based on the code of the on-premise solution and offers the full functionality of S/4HANA. The PCE allows for technical conversions and brownfield migrations and offers full upgrading flexibility: companies are free to decide how often these are carried out. Modifications are not recommended, but possible.

 

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC)

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) is a managed private cloud that offers infrastructure-as-a-service. In contrast to the PCE version, all services are taken over by SAP in the HEC version. With the PCE version, implementation and application management are contracted out to an SAP partner.

 

Licensing for all variants is handled by SAP (Vendor Branded Reseller Solution) and the license costs are calculated on the basis of the meat-related sales figures. Your regional SAP contact will be glad to show you in detail the advantages and disadvantages of this option.
